'The mighty Redcar' - BBC2:


- Represented as an old fashioned sea side town.
- Following the stories of a younger generation and an older generation.
- Described as being like 'The wizard of OZ'.
- "Real life soap opera with unbelievable characters".
- Relatable to parents and teens.
- Portraying the town as having teens struggling and committing crime, although some want to do well for themselves.
- Bright colours at the beginning showing a beach, although dull colours within the scenery throughout, buildings have graffiti and song from the 80's - the idea that the people living there are living in the past.
- Voiceover states that it could be your town and these people could be your friends - suggesting people could relate to this.
- Many establishing shots - show signs of decay within the town, drone footage showing the beach at the end of the trailer.




'I'm a celebrity' - ITV


- The programmes widely recognised theme tune is played during the opening of the advertisement.
- Shows the famous presenters 'Ant and Dec', liked by many people (family presenters).
- The audience of the programme are between teenagers and adults.
- the voiceover at the end of the trailer mentions the 'I'm a celeb game' - persuading people to download the app and suggesting that it is interactive.
- They are in a boat in the middle of the sea - references the show as contestants in the jungle are in the middle of Australia away from the outside world.
- High-Key lighting and various different colour schemes used.
- Makeup worn shows them as being slightly tanned and burnt.
- Not many points made about the show as there is no need due to its popularity.




'Educating Yorkshire' - Channel 4


- Represents teachers and students.
- Mise-en-scene, the programme is set in a school.
- Voiceover with a talking head - The headteacher talks about his values and beliefs whilst the trailer shows different scenes with various students and teachers being quite rebellious.
- Familiar to all British secondary school students as they are more than likely to have experienced very similar situations - relatable to current students and ex students who may now be in adult life.
- Uses various humorous and dramatic scenes to reel the audience in and make them want to watch the programme (shows a truthful picture of the school).
- Personal journeys and transformations of the students with the help of their teachers.
